With its knowhow VTT produces research, development, testing and information services for the public sector and companies as well as international organisations. VTT's turnover is 245 Million € with its staff of 2700 experts. VTT has a strong tradition in research on ICT for wellness and healthcare. Our core competence includes: Biosignal and image processing; Personal Health Systems; eHealth/mHealth technologies; Systems biology and bioinformatics. Two units from VTT are involved: VTT Information Technology and VTT Biotechnology.

Contributions to the project
VTT will provide expertise on several domains: 1) developing medical image analysis tools in WP3 for quantifying vascular diseases from MRI, 2) extracting metabolomic biomarkers from the prospective data cohort and performing metabolic modelling in WP4, 3) developing modelling technologies and modelling data (biological, medical and environmental) from the phenomenological point of view in WP6, and leading the work package, and 4) implementing decision support tools, an extended versions of PredictAD and SolutionAD tools, in WP8.
